Administration and Health Promotion Division


The Administration and Health Promotion division supports six major department functions:

  • Department Management - Department management functions include budget development and management, accounts payable and receivable, and personnel services.
  • Information Systems - System support, maintenance, and application development for all Public Health programs.
  • Vital Events Registration (births and deaths) - Provides certified copies of birth and death certificates.
  • Health Statistics and Reporting - Track statistics and publish reports describing the health of County residents, including vulnerable populations.
  • Community Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention - Health education services for individuals and partnerships with communities and other service organizations. Includes tobacco use prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, nutrition and physical activity, children's dental education, and chronic disease riskrisk reduction.
  • Regional Immunization Data Exchange (RIDE) - San Joaquin Public Health Services is the host department for the regional immunization registry (web-based) servicing medical providers and residents of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne counties.
